Yess even die hard

The 80s were the worst decade in American cinema and it’s not even a contest

i agree so hard. and the teen cult classics from that era sucked too. clueless and mean girls >>>>>>>>>>>

however, it was the best decade for music.

I remember when Bravo used to do stuff like this :(

Also, of course Dirty Dancing would get rejected for being too girly.

I havent seen Ghostbusters or Home Alone in ages but I own DD & Diehard and watch them religiously.

I'd watch something like this if the movies weren't peak white America. what about the movies that made up someone's childhood who wasn't white? In the UK? Somewhere else?

I love Dirty Dancing.

I think people often overlook it as just a chick flick. But it also some great storylines if you look beyond the surface. Like Penny getting an abortion. It shows why abortion should be legal. It was also great to see that nobody judged Penny for her decision. They understand her reasoning and supported her.

That's true, I did love that Robbie (well and Johnny when her dad got the wrong guy) was the only one that anyone was judging there, and everyone just wanted to help Penny out

watched the episode yesterday. they discuss all the social and political themes of the movie, which was great cause those usually get glossed over.

That is great. One of my favorite subtle moments is when Robbie tries to give Baby a copy of The Fountainhead. Just solidifies the type of person he is.

Love home alone and ghostbusters

Don’t care about the other two (dirty dancing has its moments though)
