She’s been getting a lot of critical praise with her recent music. She’s not mainstream anymore but I don’t think she’s trying to be.

it truly is an appeal to the lowest common denominator of man. and these are the same men who will claim they have a vast range of taste in music bc they don't listen to mainstream pop. a white boy with a guitar is considered more worthy than a female act of any sort. and it's the same shite every year

Music industry god is taking it a bit far...do people really care if you're an exec producer on a Netflix show? Also, why is "hits" in quotation marks? Lol

I'm sure behind the scenes, like any industry, it's gonna be a lot tougher for women to gain respect; I don't doubt her there.
