yeah i always assumed it was internal. if it was some huge external party i figure they'd go for a larger company, like disney or something. who the fuck cares about sony pictures comparatively

Yeah, I'm sure there were even reports before the whole NK thing took hold.

the sony hack really put Amy Pascal on the map for me LOL I notice her at every award show now

(I also retroactively noted her guffawing at the Amy/Tina joke about Kathryn Bigelow's marriage to James Cameron)

That's crazy that they still don't know exactly what happened.

I was just thinking about the hack because I saw Amy Pascal do a Q&A last night. She didn't address the hack or anything, but seems to have a pretty good sense of humor, and clearly enjoys being a producer.

The moderator asked her how much things have changed in the industry since the last Little Women, which she also produced, but in a leading sort of way where he expected her answer to be very positive. She started off by saying back then, there was one woman in charge of a major studio... and now, there is one (different) woman in charge of a major studio, so yeah, things are very different. We laughed, and then she said, no, things are better, and there are more women directors - but not enough.

I could definitely see her pissing off men, especially ones that reported to her, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was a former employee.

OT LW Review: [Spoiler (click to open)]I want/need to see it again because I felt like I was too in my head comparing and contrasting it the older one this time around, but that being said, I really liked it. It moves briskly, and feels way shorter that 2h15min, but isn't afraid to linger on moments that need a beat. Saoirse, Florence and Tim were the highlights for me, and while I usually love her, I felt like Laura Dern was overdoing it a bit. Emma Watson was fine, imo, but there's one or two scenes where the accent's a bit dodgy... )

I can't believe it's been five years. Feels like both yesterday and an eternity ago. I remember sitting in class refreshing ONTD and trying to keep myself from laughing.
