i've nearly played 24h on shield & i'm loving it so far
catching pokemon/doing raids are so much fun, i end up being overleveled for the story all the time lol

i choose the fire starter, but tbh i dislike all of them

you can catch pokemon in raids with either npc's offline or other people online, you get better pokemon with better stats i guess, special items, etc. & some pokemon might only be available in raids, idk yet tho (i've only done offline raids so far)
it's really fun tho

How do you do a raid? Is it just an online thing? I keep seeing NPCs mention it and I’m like hew are you?? I don’t have an online Nintendo account but might as well make one.

I need some more pokemon friends to do some trading and max raid battles since the online features are finicky and messy. I also managed to get lucky somehow and got pokerus (but no shinies so far rip) and some shield exclusives/dreepy if anyone wants them!

Yeah I don't mind! I can try breeding a dreepy with pokerus with you real quick. If you have a baby snom to trade over I would love that.

I literally just started work and probably won't be home till later in the evening tho, can I reply to you here later so we can coordinate the trade or is there another method to contact you?

I have conflicted feelings because tbh the game is really good, the wild area gives a major adventorous sensation when exploring it, but I just cannot shake the feeling that it could have been even WAY better had they included all the deleted monsters, moves and megas :/

The other two Kanto starters have been discovered in the datamine and they got major move pool upgrades, so it is a matter of time until they decide to release them through an event or something

I bought Sword and I chose Sobble as my starter. I've played about 5 hours total and I'm really enjoying it so far. The Wild Area is very overwhelming. I don't quite understand the Dynamax stuff yet. Thinking about maybe getting the Strategy guide.

I wanna get it but I’m also low key intimidated because I never played past Pokémon yellow (and Pokémon snap lol)

I have noooo idea what any of the new Pokémon are

One of the good things that Pokémon does well is that the player can make their experience a very casual one if they are first timers or very complex if they dwell in the meta, so I don't think you'd have any problem

Same, friend.
I've only played up to Pokemon Gold and Silver... so I don't know know any of these little fuckers.
But I can say this game is very newcomer friendly (some might even say "too beginner friendly", depending on who you ask.)

Outside of the Dynamax shit, which I have no idea about and is outside of my realm of understanding.
Everything else seems pretty standard Pokemon fair.

I'm having fun with it tho, when I do play it.

Pokemon games have been consitently getting easier and easier. Frankly, G&S were the last hard ones.

lmao @ "I don't know any of these little fuckers"
