Ok five songs. Oh I remember. I wasnt on here tho, I think I probably wandered on here but it didnt interest me at the time. I still remember her trying to compete with britney and then madonna swooping in for the death blow.

Yeah I agree. I dont really pay attention to her music but her songs that were on the radio a couple years ago are WAYYY better than whatever shes doing now. People dont care about critical success anymore, its all about the commercial stuff. That's why I think the streaming model is gonna collapse on itself. The current one anyway.

Yeah I don't even listen to hip hop that much but I love every single song on MBDTF, the way they are arranged one after the other, listened to it so much. I don't like some of the lyrics but musically it's amazing, quite diverse but still a stylistically consistent (coherent?) album

I also thought some of the songs on Yeezus were great, but after that... yeah...

MBDTF got snubbed so hard at the Grammys the following year SMH. It’s really an incredible album

If you liked MBDTF you should check out the podcast Dissect, that has an entire season of the show on the album. It's really good musical journalism on the album and Cole (the host) is a big hip-hop fan. I loved the album before the podcast but see why it's a singular work of art after the pod (I want to preface this with Kanye is a controversial figure and I don't agree with his current beliefs or self).

The 2010s had some of my favorite albums ever. I definitely need to make a list of my own.
