true crime as an entertainment genre was a mistake.

For some reason when ever I read an article about this dude the author seems to squeeze in "his wife was very active on social media, sometimes posting multiple times a day" and it's like well okay then, guess she deserved to die and the kids too.

Why is that relevant? I don't get the need so many people have to try and rationalize his actions by bringing up petty shit his wife did that they've deemed untasteful. He was having an affair and he wanted his family gone so he could shack up with his new girlfriend and still get to look like a good dude who would never cheat on his wife. Set him on fire and be done with it.

There are a lot of Chris supporters online who use these same arguments to bash Shannen, and it makes me ill.

They literally rationalize and excuse all of Chris’ sociopathic behavior and you know, MURDER, yet nit pick to death every single harmless thing Shannen did or posted. “She nagged him” blah blah. And then there were the women who sent Chris love letters and bikini pics of themselves while he sat in jail.

People who stan serial killers, mass murderers and family annihilators need serious help imo.

yeah, I saw a lot of that too. even if it was true (which, who knows), that's no excuse to kill her! and absolutely no excuse to kill the girls. "she was so naggy, no wonder he snapped!"
give me a break.

Because she's a woman and women are always at least a little responsible for crimes committed against them as far as the media and the public are concerned. A woman gets raped at a party? She shouldn't have been drinking. A woman gets mugged while out jogging? She shouldn't have been out alone. A woman gets beaten by her husband? She probably made him mad! Nobody is the perfect victim, and anything you do that isn't perfect will get picked apart.

This whole story just upsets me so much, I cannot imagine what those girls' final thoughts were, no child deserves that
I hate that they're sensationalizing such an awful case, especially one that was so recent
