I’ve never really seen Martha Stewart because I’m not American. Like, I know who she is and whatever but I’d never seen her actually speak or do anything. But our food channel recently started one of her shows and honestly, I am baffled why she is such an institution. She is so boring and just a charisma vacuum. She’s like Delia without the awkward home ec teacher charm.

she's good because her products / tips are actually awesome. I think she's so funny / witty / shameless when she's around other people and getting interviewed. When she is by herself talking to the camera without an audience she is pretty much just committed to showing the viewer how to do shit right.

I love this interview with Matt Lauer (gross) where she pushes back at his suggestion that going to prison was somehow "good" for her

All I know is whenever I'm looking for a specific recipe and hers pop up they seem so...bland. Like she does not use any seasoning but maybe that's not the norm and only the ones I've seen.

Yeah, I noticed that too but the show I’ve been watching seems to be a quite old “basic cooking” thing (I think it’s called Martha’s Cooking School?) so I was thinking maybe it was just because she was dealing with the basics of cooking.

But maybe not. Maybe she just likes bland food.

I watched this (obviously) and the best moment was when Martha cut the Turkey and dragged Kelly for having such a shitty carving knive. The worst part was that there was a rapist on the same episode.
