I saw the Maleficent sequel and it was so stupid. Like it could have been really good but the writers just said fuck this plot, who cares?

It failed because he recast Mae Whitman. Fuck him for not even asking her to return.

And made Liam’s rando character the star instead of Dylan.

Yeah, the actor who played Dylan was far more personable and charismatic than that other guy. It would have been miles better with Mae coming back and Dylan as the protagonist.

the sequel was hilarious trash but there is no way a rehash of the first would have worked either. but im curious to hear what made the original idea better.
