Jane Fonda brought out ice cream moguls Ben and Jerry during her 5th consecutive DC protest against government inaction on climate change.

“There’s nothing that’s standing in our way except a lack of political will from the people in that building over there,” said Ben Cohen. pic.twitter.com/6BQXFMwteW

I love seeing people use their star power for good. If only it would work.

i was just coming here to comment this. we need more celebrities willing to go out and get into the trenches to protest and fight and willing to get arrested for it. jane has a track record to back up her activism, and i’m glad she’s encouraging her peers to step up too. but we need more and we need to keep pushing against the politicians because they still aren’t listening.

Exactly. Daryl Hannah is another I love for this but she doesn't have the "name" power she once did. And yes it's sad we even need celebs with big names to even inspire anything but since that's the place we're at it'd be nice to see more of the big names out there doing what they can.

Vice always does good interviews. Jane's plan to send attractive female scientists for a Trump meeting was hilarious and sad at the same time.

I love Ben & Jerry's. I want to go on a tour someday. They use brownies from Greyston's Bakery who has an open hire policy and doesn't discriminate against people who were incarcerated. More companies should fucking do this! Also, every item I've tried from Greyston's is super good, like their blondies mmmmm.

Her protest group crossed paths with protestors advocating for Dreamers (i.e. U.S. residents who immigrated as children but are being denied U.S. citizenship) and the two protest groups were friendly with one another and exchanged cheers of support

loving that concept!!

I read this in Ron Howard's voice. I know this is a serious thing, but I wish he'd make an Arrested Development short of the protests.
