You did a good job translating OP!

I'm kind of glad people are going on the record snd saying they knew whst was going on but didn't do anything bc they were afraid of institutional consequences. Thats actually helpful and more courageous than in the US where they feign ignorance.

Wow, I’m glad Marion is voicing her support. Adele needs all the support she can get.

I am glad that Marion did too. When I started the article, I just saw her name, but hadn't gotten to her comment yet and was afraid she was going to comment some sort of Catherine Deneuve nonsense. I'm glad it wasn't that, but it's sad that as much as I like French films, there is the expectation they will be terrible about these kinds of things. And in a sense were, since so many witnessed something happening to a young person, where you can't even delude yourself with the notion they can/should fend for themselves and didn't intervene on her behalf at the time. None of them mention taking him aside at the time to tell him to stop.

He sounds like an enormous, unrepentant perv. Falling in ~luv with a 12 year old, okay! Thank god she's speaking out and protecting his future victims. She's a badass.

IA about the shadiness of their relationship especially since Sciamma is 11 years older and they met when Adèle was so young.

Did they really start dating when she was 17 though? I've never been able to find out, all I know is that they only first were public in 2014 when Adèle thanked her when she won her César and they had been spotted together a year or so before that. Their relationship timeline is a huge mystery mostly, they never even publicly announced they broke up (I'm pretty sure a lot of people think they're still together).

Oof, thanks for the info.

Yeah, IA from the outside it definitely looks predatory but I'm glad that Adèle still feels positively about it.
