there's a few i disagree with, but my biggest beef on this list is the school shooting episode of one tree hill. i've always loathed the way they made the victims of the shooting the bad guys and tried to make the shooter sympathetic. add on the stupid soapy twist of having dan kill keith in the end, which then made the shooter into this hero once the truth of revealed that he didn't kill keith after all, even though he still brought a gun to school, shot into a crowd and held students hostage. fuck that episode and how everything around it was handled.
What I found even more annoying (on top of what you said), was that it was a character we didn't even knew existed, really, until the shooting. Then suddenly we were supposed to care about him.
he was in the first two eps, but i'm not even sure they ever said his name there. he was definitely a character that only people in the fandom remembered, not casuals. and like one episode of build up doesn't cut it
