Anyway, if not being in English is a requirement I feel like the film should've been denied entry like, at most a week after it was submitted? Why did it take them so long to tell the film makers it wasn't eligible?

But I have to agree with the decision. This category's purpose is to have films in languages other than English, which isn't the case.
