Pop superstar Kesha creates her ultimate playlist. She reminisces on the rebellious Beastie Boys songs of her childhood, the unapologetic lyrics of Reba McEntire, and the badass girl power tunes of Lizzo. With upbeat pop tracks and a hilarious flea market anthem, Kesha shares the current soundtrack of her life.

I think (hope) it will chart on the next Billboard cycle. It has only been out a minute.

I remember the first time I heard Uptown Funk, I was sure it was going to be HUGE, but it stalled on Billboard for the first couple weeks and I was completely perplexed. The entire planet knows how that story ended.

I've been listening to Ray of Light a loooot atm. I know she's p dodgy now, but goddamnit Madonna made some fucking good music. Also lots of Massive Attack and great in-my-feelings moody aesthetic late 90s shit

Ray Of Light was one of her best albums. While the Like A Prayer/Blonde Ambition era will always be the Madonna that most influenced me as a teenager, Ray Of Light was probably her peak as a creator.

She's one of those problematic performers who vastly influenced me when I was younger, pre-internet and pre-awareness. What she meant to me in the 80s/early 90s is in direct opposition from what I've learned about her/how she has behaved since. I stan, yet I cannot stan.

I've been in a big massive attack mood too! And generally trip hop from the 90s. Have you ever heard MA and Madonna's collab on "I want you"? It's SO underrated!
