Jersey Shore star Snooki loves pickles, but it turns out she’s not a huge fan of pickle-flavored snacks. See which ones she actually likes, and which ones she thinks are kinda vile.
A few years ago I got into a really bad car accident that left me with a traumatic brain injury. Prior to that, I had the biggest sweet tooth on the planet. Afterwards I became obsessed with salty/sour foods. I literally will eat pickles in place of breakfast. Dinner. Snack. Whatever. I currently have four different types of pickles in my fridge. I try to limit to one every two days because I don’t want to end up on “True life: I can’t stop eating pickles”, and the sodium is fucking bananas!
Lol. I love weird medical shit/weird shit in general. I brought it up with my neurologist and he said it was something he’d dealt with before. My temporal lobe is where the injury is located. He reasoned that one of two things have probably happened. A. After the trauma I probably lost a bit of my sense of smell and taste, and the salty/sour foods pack more of a punch to the taste buds than sweet. I have also collected an abundance of hot sauces since the accident. B. The injury itself caused a shift in my approach to foods. In the first year of the accident I would forget to eat. Literally. For days. I had to set alarms on my phone to eat.I have been an over eater/over weight my whole life. I lost a total of 100 pounds in nine months. I now hate certain foods that I loved. And love ones that I hate. I randomly met a client who had a more severe version of my injury about a year ago. We spent our entire makeup session talking about the weird shit that happens after a TBI that no one tells you about. If you’re digging, look at the

Eating pickles would not put you on True Life because it's actual food. Producers would be like "Don't waste our time - call us when you start mixing the pickles with some Dry Wall or battery acid and then we can talk".
I'll put up with the regular dill in a burgers or potato salad but if I'm gonna eat a pickle i go with kosher dill. I buy claussen pickles that are in the fridged section.
