- In a previous post, a first look at the Sims 4 Discover University was leaked. Now the official trailer is out!
- Highlights: now bikes, bathroom stalls and shower sex woohoo exist! Robot making looks cool and the new mascots are definitely an upgrade from the Sims 2 and 3's ugly llamas

I'm really excited for this pack. I thought I would the new magic expansion but I haven't even bought it. Island Living was a bit of a dud too.

It better come close to Sims 2 University

With each new pack/expansion that comes out, I'm always reminded of something a Simblr said about how none of them ever seem to cater to any other age groups besides Young Adults. You get next to nothing new for Elders or Teens or Kids.

I still keep foolishly buying all these stupid packs, but then I realize I really just bought them for the new neighborhoods because the actual "content" is often pretty empty.

I'm trying to think what it was about Sims 3 that made it worth sitting through the endless loading screens... but I can't remember, it's been too long. Did it just have better interactions between Sims? What was it about 3 that made it seem more enjoyable? I do know that I miss the imaginary friends. Making them real after my kids got old enough was always so much fun.

Yeah fashion choices for teens and kids are dismal. I really wish teens had more options than differ from YA and adults

this is interesting to me because i'm much more interested in sims 4 than sims 3. sims 3 just became unplayable after a certain point because of create a style (and open world for me after installing island paradise). i also think sims 3 was a really ugly game beyond the landscapes. while i do miss the full open world, i think sims 4 open neighborhoods kind of concept is a good middle ground.

i agree that its heavily focused on young adults though. and i wish teenagers were a more distinct life stage with different outfits and stuff. i hate that when you sim ages up from teen to young adult they basically look exactly the same. which is probably a bit more true to real life but idk it makes it seem like the long teenage years are a bit pointless since there isn't really anything special.

Sims 3 sims had more personality. They felt a bit more like real people. With sims 4, they’ll catch their partner cheating and be angry for 1 day and go back to happy. I remember playing s3 and I got a notification that said “Vanessa is going to break up with her boyfriend” and it showed her driving to his house and breaking up with him. I had no control over that I thought that was so cool and unexpected. That kind of stuff never happens in sims 4. All the sims are the same and there’s no challenge of keeping your sim happy.

you know, i got sims 4 for christmas last year and i just didn't enjoy it as much as sims 3.
i love the improved sims customisation part, but i loved sim 3 because i find it so much easier to use/navigate. wish i could merge the two.

I think there’s a code (or it’s already built in lol it’s been awhile) where you can switch to sims 3 camera controls, but ia it’s not as easy to go places in it like idek how to get my sims to take a vacation

i already said this in the last post but i really loved the university pack for ts2 (didn't care for ts3) so i might download this just to check it out. I do want to try mods bc last time I tried I couldn't get it to work

ts3 university sucked, even the aesthetic was dull
