I have the same issue with my son the math I swear is taught totally different than when I was in elementary in the 90’s. I’m constantly googling or looking up yt videos on how to do it. He’s in 4th btw.

I have slight anxiety watching every parent I know with young kids helping them with homework, it seems so stressful. My parents never helped when I was a kid, so I was wondering if this was a relatively new phenomenon, until I realized it was because they put me in a Montessori school lmao so there was no homework until high school, and now I wonder if they did it on purpose because they genuinely could not be bothered

That's not even cute, like that's just sad tbh. Her parents should have pushed more for her education. Although I guess it worked out cause she's pretty set for life but still. Education is IMPORTANT.

I was terrible at math and in high school my dad would sometimes spend hours trying to help me with my math homework. Sometimes he would stay up until 1 or 2 am trying to figure out the problems, long after I'd given up and gone to bed. Even though he couldn't figure out the answers half the time, bless him for trying <3
