I've read 1 ½ book this month (I started reading the first book in September but finished it now it October so yeah :P) So the first book I read was Me and Earl and the Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews, and it was okay. Like yeah it did make me laugh a few times but i didn't enjoy reading it but I felt like I had to finish it because it was a "easy read" book and I felt like reading something like that but honestly I could tell I was "to old" for this book as well, but yeah anyway 3 out of 5.
The second book I read was The Woman in Black by Susan Hill and this book I did like! It was a little bit slow in the beginning and for a moment I was afraid I would really enjoy it but I a couple of pages in I noticed that I liked it, 5 out 5 (by goodread rating standard)
I don't really know what to read next but it have to be something from Stephen King or Dean Koontz!
I’m in the middle of King’s The Institute and it’s great so far. Just finished Pet Sematary and it was so horrific but incredible. Highly highly recommend.
i think pet sematary might be my new favorite stephen king. i enjoyed the movies for what they were but i'm a little salty how rich that story is and how blah the adaptations are in comparison.
I re-watched the 1989 version last week after finishing the book and yeah it's shockingly bad compared to the book. I didn't even watch the new one because everyone I know who did said it was awful. :[ I also saw It: Chapter Two right after finishing the book and couldn't really fully enjoy it. It's so hard to capture the feeling of his books the right way onscreen.
Ngl I’m laughing at Bleak Creek by GMM being on the GR list.
I really want to read Ninth House and The Silent Patient. I’m getting TSP from the library but NH still hasn’t shown up in physical form :(((
I just finished Murder On The Orient Express. It was a fun Poirot book. I’m going to try and finish Northern Lights and then try the second book of the Mirror Visitors series again because I’m sorta in the mood to read again.
A shopaholic Christmas is coming out tomorrow! The series has certainly faltered in recent years but I don’t care I will read a shopaholic nursing home on my death bed
I'm reading a book about the Halifax explosion right now. Crazy, crazy shit. I'm also almost done reading The Immortalists which is okay. I like reading (and watching) complicated families so it's scratching my itch for that well enough.
