I don't think Netflix is the right platform for this.

They really couldn’t go a single episode without some level of transphobia. I guess it’s on brand for netflix, cardi and snoop so congrats i guess.

There was a segment where they showed all the rappers that got cut and at the end a female rapper ends her spit with “suck my dick” or smth as inane as that to which Snoop reacts with “what i really wanna know is - do you have a dick?” much to the amusement of judges and audience while the woman looks shocked. I can’t believe they would leave smth like that in with all the controversies surrounding the rappers. I really wanted to like the show, they had some great talents on, but I just couldn’t get over this.

I watched like 2 episodes so far and it was pretty cool. I hadn't seen a show with a similar premise.

tbh I'm surprised it hadn't happened yet, there's a show in Korea, Show Me the Money that's basically the same thing and it's had eight seasons so far I think--they even did three seasons of a women-only competition, Unpretty Rapstar, Cheetah is prob my fave to come out of them

There are tons of hokey ass talent shows but I haven't seen them showcasing a lot of rap.. or have an all black panel of judges with a predominantly POC group of contestants.

I watched it. They def could have had better talent but I guess those people didn't want to be on a reality show.

I think the judges were fair. I died when the guy was like can I do one more or something and chance was like ..nah

I'm too scared to watch this because I just do not want to see the stupid shit people are going to inevitably say to and about cakes da killa. he's been excellence since 2011 and some of the established artists that are shown can't rap or write so how are they going to judge him

I thought Cardi's comments to him were fair - she really pressed on how hard it is to be the first. I feel like she's the only one of the judges who can really speak to the higher standards that she faced and the higher standards that he'll face. But they all were into him.

He's in episode 2, the New York episode (Fat Joe, Cardi B, and Jadakiss as judges).
