imo if the writer was going to admit in the profile, she prob should have specified why she didn't have enough time. based off her tweet, it seemed like it was an unexpected and/or last minute call.

I feel this is totally the angle that interviewer is going for.

I think her issue was the phrasing. If she has interviewed Rihanna before and they even have a rapport then say that but she presented it as something unprofessional instead of the honest moment she was going for.

Like I would've opened with and angled the article as a continuation and update of their prior interview together or even a compare/contrast gig.

lol exactly. I mean, a journalist for a high profile magazine (hell, even a school paper!) should always do homework and be prepared (whenever possible), but it's not the end of the world. Sounds like the person was able to salvage the interview and get some good material, regardless. But probably shouldn't have divulged this.

But some people are much better equipped at working on the fly like this. I'm not one of those. I have to meticulously plan.

I appreciate the honesty but it's Rihanna and she should have known that her fans will drag her to filth for admitting the unpreparedness. She's lucky it wasn't Beyonce

fans are not dragging her lol

it's mostly writers who are bitter that they didn't interview Rihanna lol
