I suffered for so long as a Barba and Carisi stan. Aka these last 2 seasons of pain and misery. I am finally feeling blessed again. 😭😭😭

ADA CARISI is all I ever wanted the second he passed the bar. When he shadowed Barba is forever one of my favorite episodes. If only my dreams could have came true with Rafael still around 🥺. I was SENT TO SPACE when Sonny said he practiced some of Barba's speeches in the mirror.

I even have optimism about new women of color characters!

that episode when he shadowed barba, and that episode when he thanked barba after taking the bar exam, i just... i miss them.

BUT i'm optimistic too! i really hope this season gives us some quality carisi content, at the very least. but i am really seeing an effort overall, so yep, i'm getting a good feeling too :D

As OP knows I don't watch much SVU unless Jack McCoy is involved, but I am rewatching original L&O, and Ms. Patti LuPone absolutely killed it as a feisty defense attorney in the S6 episode I just watched. I then found out she appeared on SVU just a few years ago, so I might have to track down that episode.

Other guest stars I've spotted today: Chris Messina (aka Danny Castellano from The Mindy Project) and Aida Turturro (aka Janice from The Sopranos).

I don't like the pressure they are putting on Carisi. So not fair, if he knew he was going to be there to just be eyes and ears for SVU he wouldn't have taken law classes. I mean the nerve, even from Liv. It's going to get real messy interoffice I'm sure.

the actor who played barba chose to leave, and he kinda (politely) suggested that the writing for the show had declined in quality, and there wasn't much left for his character to do. which was true tbh. but we all still miss him.

bb hi! imo you don't even need to watch SVU to be an SVU stan anymore! even the most casual TV viewer has watched, by my calculations, at least 150 SVU episodes in their lifetime, so we are all SVU stans by default!
