I feel like I read somewhere that Stan Lee envisioned Professor X and Magneto as having a sort of MLK/Malcom X dynamic so I can see how they might lean into that aspect of their relationship.

Also, friendly reminder to everyone that Jews are not uniformly white.

The MLK and Malcom X inspiration always made x-men more interesting to me. It gave it depth in a way other comics lacked.

Or they could you know just make Storm an actual black woman. The kind that has one black African parent and one black American parent - like in the comics, lol. Also, Denzel would make a horrible Magneto. Idris Elba would be fun though.

Storm has always been a black woman. Let’s not just because she’s been played by mixed actresses. Halle and Alexandra are still black.

yeah but it's annoying when they keep casting light skinned actors to play a dark skinned character. darker shades are way under represented on screen.

Being light skinned doesn’t make you not an actual black woman is my point. By OP’s logic actual black people are ones who are African which isn’t true. She could have worded her point better. I agree that dark skin women need to be represented too but the way she phrased that left a bad taste in my mouth.
