I've never quite got this show and it's popularity.

I saw a pre-screening on Tuesday night and it was actually really good! Some great surprises, stunning old lady shade, and I might have cried, too.

But yes, exceeded expectations.

Brad's publicity tour for Ad Astra is confusing me - is two years enough to forget that he was so drunk that he assaulted his child and then had to have supervised visits?

He's just a straight white man. He can just ignore it and people will forget it for him.

The internet is only talking about how hot he looked in his gq spread. nobody cares about him being a shitty father. men always get away with that.

I have to admit that I absolutely loved it. It wasn't the best thing I've ever seen but it was heart-warming and pleasant and gave me all the feels. Great escapism and and basically pure fan service.

That's all I would expect from it, which is exactly why it is the way it is.

I saw it and I loved it too, idec. It's not the greatest movie ever and the plot is a little thin, but you just want to see the interaction of all the characters and the costumes, the house, etc. I liked the subplots for Thomas and Branson, Edith got her moment, it was all good.

I would have liked to have seen Lily James make an appearance, and she wanted to, but they said they couldn't find a way to work her into the plot since her character lives in New York now. I think they could have if they'd wanted to, but hopefully they will do another movie next year and they can solve that problem.

I saw Ad Astra and it was very pretty but the entire time part of me was like “there is NO WAY this gets a ton of money.” It’s very arthouse at its core and I can’t imagine the WOM is gonna be great.

It’s a great score though. Hope it wins awards.

Plus I got a pin for seeing it in IMAX which was nice.
