After watching 14+ movies last week, this week has been slow on that front. We saw Hustlers on Saturday, which I liked but didn't love, and haven't watched anything since then except Succession. We have three more eps to watch to be completely caught up, which I hope to be by this weekend.

Gonna go see Ad Astra on Saturday; my husband has been psyched about it ever since the first time we saw the trailer.

Is LJ being hideously slow for everyone rn, or is it just me??

Random Succession talk!

[Spoiler (click to open)] Okay, so we just watched 2.4 and 2.5 tonight. It has taken me a LONG TIME to warm up to this show because everyone is so heinous (except Greg), but these past few episodes have been fantastic. Safe Room was more or less a perfect episode, and Tern Haven was great as well.

I am dying at the Roman/Gerri storyline. I've loved Kieran Culkin since I was fifteen, and he and J. Cameron-Smith are playing their roles perfectly. I'm fully invested and dying to see where this goes - can't be anywhere good

Taking my mom to Downton Abbey on Sunday (she said she's dressing up, but I can't tell if she's messing with me, so I'm just gonna wear regular clothes plus a '20s head jewelry thing and split the difference). Might see Villains next week, kinda want to see Where's My Roy Cohn? but I know it'll make me rage. Isn't there another Roy Cohn doc this year? That fuckface.

I just got tickets for a Jojo Rabbit screening with a Taika Q&A, too! But mine isn't til October 10th - not much of an advance screening, lol.

I’m seeing Ford V. Ferrari, Marriage Story, The Climb, Beanpole, Motherless Brooklyn, and The Assistant this weekend.

Do you have a festival, or just a lot of screenings?

Curious to hear what you think of Motherless Brooklyn. The others I've either seen or know have gotten good reviews, but MB sounds like kind of a mess.
