The synopsis sounds like an antivax movie, how fitting for her

Honestly it seems like that to me too. Their flu vaccines made them susceptible to some other virus! But the twist will be that the other virus is a government controlled experiment to wipe out their enemies~~.

You're on the right track, but it's not about viruses

And it was a complete waste to have held off on the 2nd season in favor of the show since the 2nd season was so awful and made no sense canonically with the 1st season or the book. A mess. Hopefully the show is enjoyable because the 1st season was so good.

I haven't listened to the second season yet but that sucks to hear. How's the book? I really cherish my experience of that first season

The book kind of unraveled some key plot points of the 1st season and the 2nd season followed suit of the book and made things worse.

I couldn't get into this or TAZ, I think story podcasts just aren't my thing.

I feel like TAZ is a v specific kind of story podcast bc a lot of it is improvised goofing-off between family members; personally I really like Wolf 359 (which gets increasingly plotty, dramatic and emotionally-intense as it goes on) and also Cabin Pressure, which is a BBC radio comedy and the best thing Bibblydook Cummerbund will ever have done with his life, it's delightful.

I listened to all the episodes years ago. I remember hating it, but I can't remember why. I don't think I'll watch this.

I should clarify that I listened to the first season. I didn't even know there was a second until I googled just now.

....it wasnt great? I remember thinking - but this isnt how people act in real life.

I finished it but the plotting, the dialogue, the acting were just medio

Same, OP!

This was the first podcast I was ever obsessed with; it’s a shame they ruined the momentum by putting aside the podcast for the show’s benefit.

I remember checking their subreddit every day and then my reaction when I read their post about the hiatus lol. I was like "good luck with that show you speak of".

I made the mistake of listening to this podcast while making dinner once and almost sliced myself at a scary part, ha.
