This is the only John Green book I've read and I didn't like it. He's basically Nicholas Sparks for YA but for some reason gets critical acclaim because he's male?

i remember this book and john green (in general) being so popular on tumblr. i hated nerdfighters and their stupid vlogs, fandom etc lol

This looks fanmade and about half the people can’t act. It also makes me extremely embarrassed that I ever had affection for this novel. Wow I was a pretentious teen

we've all been there. i ugly cried during The Fault In Our Stars.

edit: if it make you feel any better i didn't read anything but non-fiction and "classics" so i was snobby about my books too lol

everything about his books and the movies that follow are so pompous and mixed with the manic pixie girl trope. It's always like here is a teen with like a reading level and knowledge of a college classic lit major.
