Jason Derulo seems to be shading Shawn Mendes in new interview just a few days after the MTV VMAs and claims artists don’t dance and sing nowadays when performing.

They've DEFINITELY calmed down since season one but I do agree :( She's stunning with subtler makeup.

Nah, I don’t fully agree. I think Shawn Mendes is boring but I think there should be space for stripped out performances without flashy outfits etc (and that women could also perform like that). Huge performances are fun but there’s more to music than that.

That said, I understand why Derulo is bitter because he sings and dances and do everything and yet no one cares about him. But dude doesn’t have the special factor and his music is generic as fuck so lol.

He’s not completely wrong but at the same time, "White t-shirt" artists have been around forever and it’s nothing new (Elvis? MJ?) lol but I think what he wanted to say was "I see a white dude come out and i’m like shit that’s terrible," which i’d fully agree with.
