I like what I've heard from Black Belt Eagle Scout - it's a little mellow, but pretty.

I've only seen Open Mike Eagle @ comedy shows in LA, but I legit like this song and feel like it's gonna be stuck in my head all night.

Not a fan of solo Jim James, but I'm waiting for him, M Ward and Conor to reunite and give us more Monsters of Folk.

When we were in Austin this weekend, we went to see my Austin faves White Denim play their album Last Day of Summer.

It was fun, but super fucking hot, and the crowd was too damn chatty. I wish I could just let shit like that roll off my back, but I get so annoyed.

i'm excited for black belt eagle scout's album. i love everything i've heard so far and it's coming at the perfect time of year for some mellow sounds.
