i knew about most of these except aidan turner, dan rad, and rahm emmanuel. i was hoping michael jordan would've made the list, but the point is the same without him. there's such an extensive breadth of people with formative experiences in the performing arts--especially ballet.
Indeed the famous "jumpman" silhouette that is part of every AirJordan was based on a ballet move. Jordan evidently gave an interview in 1997 to HOOP magazine, "I wasn’t even dunking on that one. People think that I was. I just stood on the floor, jumped up and spread my legs and they took the picture. I wasn’t even running. Everyone thought I did that by running and taking off. Actually, it was a ballet move where I jumped up and spread my legs. And I was holding the ball in my left hand.”
I have nothing but respect for ballet dancers. The things they do with their body are INSANE. Growing up I always loved watching ballet and gymnastics because both require so much strength and grace

I couldn't find the HOOP article, but it was used as evidence as part of a lawsuit by the Life photographer. https://www.nicekicks.com/history-behind-jordan-jumpman-logo/
