The Debra Messing and Susan Sarandon feud heats up again

The question is “Would we have children in cages BUT FOR Trump.” If you say yes, you are being willfully ignorant. A celebrity Campaigning for a 3rd party candidate even when Bernie saw the danger of a racist, misogynistic Trump and said “You must vote for Hillary” shows https://t.co/yZuCryrsqn

Listen, I really support Susan Sarandon and a ton of the thing’s she’s done, but as a whole if you vote for a third party candidate in a presidential election you’re honestly a moron. Like now is not the time to pilot the multi party system lmfao it ain’t gonna work. Save that shit for your local elections

Seriously, it's ridiculous. Third Parties are constantly butting into the national elections but doing fuckall at state and local levels, and the strength of political parties in America lie at the base.

Try to name 3 tangible, real-world policy accomplishments of the Libertarian party, at any level (national, state, or local; executive or legislative) without Googling. Name 5 of their politicians who aren't Nader or Stein. Any tangible examples where members of those parties got elected to a position and implemented a platform that allows them to tell people "this is what we believe, this is what we did, these are the results, look how well it worked."

You build a party from the bottom up, not by butting in and siphoning votes just to spare ideological purists from making a difficult decision.

Its ridiculously moronic to think political engagement starts and ends at the ballot.

I voted Bernie in the primaries. I consider myself considerably more to the left than HRC but I felt very strongly in voting for her (instead of 3rd or not at all) over Trump because of ALL THE REASONS.

But that’s me. Also don’t really think we should be guilt tripping or endlessly focusing on people for how they did (or didn’t vote). There were a lot of reasons Hillary failed (some in and some outside of her control/influence). Focusing on Susan on Twitter is not efficient or conducive to anything imo.

I mean, does Susan Sarandon really have that much pull period let alone in the key states Hillary Clinton lost?

Also, I'm guessing Susan Sarandon is registered in a blue state.

i'm hoping that the main reason she's doing this is so people don't do it again in this election. likely, she's just unable to move on from it, but i HOPE she's thinking about the next election.

Good lord. You can criticize her for not voting for Hillary but she didn't personally get tramp elected. "Enemy of the democratic party" is a bit much.

given how embarrassingly poorly the democratic party is run, i feel like being labeled its enemy is a vague compliment
