i don't like the sleater-kinney album. man it is very carrie vocal heavy. like i don't hate her voice or anything but corin is literally one of the finest, most distinctive and emotive rock vocalists of her generation, there is no fucking day in the week i'd rather listen to carrie's serviceable yelp over corin's gigantic voice. a JOKE! also i think the songs sound bad and crunchy and small. i'm mad. i have concert tix but i'm not going to use them. lucky they only cost like 25 euro or smth. this is the only s-k album i didn't like on first listen.

go to the concert, bb. in my experience any early strong negative emotions towards an album is a good sign because it means you have the capacity to fall in love with it. some of my favorite albums ended up becoming my faves from my immediate disdain for them. and you already have tickets and they're one of your faves. at worst you'll commiserate with some other fans over how much you mutually don't like the new album.
