I saw hobbs and shaw over the weekend bc there was a rumor that there was a trailer for christopher nolan's new movie but there wasn't :(

i'm (finally) seeing once upon a time in hollywood tomorrow so i'm excited for that! we drove by the new bev the other night and most people lined up for the screening were dressed like sharon tate, which is kind of tacky to me but they're also probably going to run to el coyote after and try to sit at her table so..

vision portraits looks really interesting!!! i hope they have it at the sunset 5

you must've been unlucky, because i saw hobbs & shaw last weekend, and the last trailer they showed was nolan's latest movie. sorry bb! i'm not a big nolan fan, but his new film does look good.

I've been checking the New Bev's website every once in a while to see how it's selling, and from what I can tell, they have sold out every evening showing of the movie for the past three weeks (and it looks like it's currently sold out til next Wednesday or so). It's crazy!

This After the Wedding is based on the excellent 2006 Danish film of the same name, written and directed by Susanne Bier, starring Mads Mikkelsen. Don't know how this 2019 film will be (you can tell they've made some obvious changes just by the trailer) but highly recommend seeing the original. Try to watch it without any spoilers!

The original is one of my favorite movies. I found it incredibly romantic too. Kinda curious about the remake, but Billy Crudup as the Sidse Babett Knudsen character kinda ruins it for me already lol

Mte! Mads Mikkelsen was so good. And appreciated that it was written and directed by a woman.

Can't decide if I want to see Scary Stories or not. As for Billy, I still say he like every other man on the planet looks better without a mustache. But then I'll forever be in love with his Tommy Marcano so that may be part of it.

After the Wedding looks interesting. Bart is Julianne's husband irl yes?

The Peanut Butter Falcon is the kind of movie that I'd stream, but not see in the cinema. I wondered what Shia and Dakota were doing on the late show rounds, promo this film I see.

Ode to Joy seems like it would make me anxious whether it's theme is comedy or not lol. Morena is beautiful, good to hear Melissa Rauch using her irl voice instead of her Bernadette voice.

Light of My Life whew that other post. As far as theme, I'm intrigued by this type of dystopia. Children of Men was great and highly rated but under-seen.

Lately, I've binged Succession on HBO which has been a wildly entertaining satire. S2 starts this weekend. I've also seen (or re-watched) quite a few films, I finally caught up on storing my reviews.

lol, I missed the part of your comment about Bart being Julianne's husband, and found out via IMDB that the answer is yes!

I still need to finish S1 of Succession, maybe we can work on that tonight.
