It was such a MESS of a show, every time I remember I watched it parts of the plot pop up in my head and I'm all ???
Like the story about her son and what happened with the person he was dating? Princess Valhalla Hawkwind sitting on cakes and balloons? The weird sex toy the geeky dude made? The sister who reminded me so much of the sister from Breaking Bad?

Toni and Brie really saved that show from being unwatchable.

I thought Toni Collette was playing Lilith, the most interesting character in the story, at first and was really happy for a minute until I read the article. Oh well. Cate Blanchett actually was one of the first people I thought of to play Lilith when I heard about this adaptation. She'd be excellent, but I almost hope it doesn't work out with her because I want to see someone more unexpected in that part.

cast looks really good but even though i liked shape of water well enough i haven't been on board with gdt for a minute. it'll take a while for me to forgive that trash ass crimson whatever movie he made
