I thought Love, Antosha came out ages ago, huh.

Also I just watched Osmosis Jones for the first time....the biggest surprise was that it shares a director with Green Book.

I've heard it's very good but many scenes are extremely hard to watch, I wanna read some spoilers first so at least I'll know what to expect :/

I've been watching a lot of documentaries recently, more lighthearted ones that are like a glimpse into different subcultures and trends, idk why I've just been in the mood for it.

I'm thinking I might see The Art of Self-Defense or Yesterday sometime this weekend.

The Farewell finally showed up at one of the AMCs near me... glad I waited it out!! Having AList, I hate when I pay for movies at other theaters and then they show up at one of my AMCs a month later. I'm thinking we'll go tonight or tomorrow.

We're halfway through the recent BBC adaptation of War and Peace. I didn't like Paul Dano as Pierre at first, but he's grown on me, and the rest of the cast is pretty good, for the most part. I only know the parts that they cover in The Great Comet and they are finally getting to that part now, very exciting!

I've only seen Tom Burke in this and The Souvenir, and boy, is he great at playing assholes. Just looked @ his IMDB and saw he is Cormoran Strike?! He doesn't match the description of the character like... at all.

There are a lot of promising indies out this week! I am interested in The Nightingale, but I think it's gonna be too intense for me. I do want to see Luce and Them That Follow.

I love those books and I was veeeeeery skeptical when he was cast [ngl the Internet was like "he's way too handsome to play Strike!" and I was like "...is he??"], but I came out of it mediumkey stanning him, he's GREAT in the role. And then The Souvenir kinda made me love him more. I read a review comparing him to a young Orson Welles and I can't stop thinking about it lmao

it's funny you say that... I just went to see what the seats looked like for showings tonight and tomorrow at my theater, and they are already 2/3 full! tf. I can't go to a sad movie in a theater that crowded, I am gonna have to wait.
