I’m down for it honestly as long as it’s spent well and the plot goes somewhere. And I’m assuming the extra time will be used to explore the cosmic aspects of “It”

I still don’t know if the terrible Mike Hanlon changes rumored so long ago actually ended up in the draft, but both Andy and Barb talked about his role and it seems like he has more to do than in the first movie and it’s closer to his role in the book. Plus it looks like he gets to be involved in the big final showdown instead of sitting it out at the hospital like in the miniseries and book.

They have been talking about how Mike has been living in Derry and how he has been effected by living in that evil, decaying town, and with the burden of knowing the truth. But making Mike a drug addict is the worst possible choice. (Especially bc in the book Eddie is basically addicted to opioids, not Mike)

Nothing they've shown or said about it really suggests that they went that road with Mike, thank GOD. But I will always be lowkey mad about the fact that they ever considered it.
