Yesterday afternoon, we went to see a play called Mysterious Circumstances at a local theater. It starred Alan Tudyk, and was based on an article (https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2004/12/13/mysterious-circumstances) about a Sherlock Holmes scholar/author who ended up dead in his own apartment.

We bought $20 rush tickets via TodayTix (great app, use it for cheap tickets!!) and ended up sitting front row - probably too close for most people, but I enjoy being close, especially for plays. The play itself was interesting, if not great, but the actors were all good, especially Tudyk and Helen Sadler. She reminded me a ton of Kate McKinnon, and I heard someone else say the same on their way out of the theater, though you'd never see it just by looking at pics of her.
