i get what you are saying, but they need a strategy here--they have a virtually unknown lead and director and a star who is known throughout only East Asia as a legend (gotta get them Asia bucks).

That's why they have to have at least 1 name who is recognizable to the general public--and Awkwafina is it right now.

I like to have fun speculating about how maybe THIS was the role Constance Wu had to back out of because Fresh Off got renewed. :-D

Finally, the truckloads of money they backed up to Tony's house must have been SUBSTANTIAL because this guy has been quoted in the past as having no interest in the English-speaking market.

Yeah, I googled it thinking it might be a type, but apparently it is 1950s and this isn't new info? Shows how much I follow that show. Maybe they time travel.

I think the '50s thing is from something Elizabeth teased earlier this year, about it being '50s inspired or something?

It's definitely set after Endgame though, plus they're introducing Monica.
