I recently saw the original Westworld movie (I hadn't even known that that existed), and while it was kinda trashy, I also thought that in regards to theme and everything, it was kinda good? Also you can totally see Michael Crichton premiering some ideas he'd re-use for Jurassic Park.

It definitely had some interesting ideas. Crighton basically invented the idea of a computer virus with that work.
