Earlier this week I met a person who said Leaving Neverland was a mockumentary and when I pointed out how incorrect that was she lost her mind and started going at me saying "Have you read through the court transcripts?? I've read all of them and if you'd read them you wouldn't have such a disinformed (their word) opinion. I bet you don't even know who Brandi Jackson is!!!"

I don't need to know who Brandi Jackson is to know MJ was a pedophile, thanks. WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE.

Even if Brandi had any relevance to the credibility of the allegations... as if knowing who she is makes you well informed. Her surname’s Jackson FFS, you’re not suddenly an expert because you have the half a brain cell necessary to place her.

The funny part is with every interview Brandi does regarding her supposed relationship with Wade and defense of her uncle, her timeline of events changes. Oh, the irony.

I’ve gotten into many emotional arguments over these docs

I haven’t been able to watch either one because I just don’t think my mental state is strong enough. It might never be, it may always be too triggering, but for now it definitely is.

I believe the survivors 100% though. Back in the day I was one of the “MJ just thinks he’s a child, too!~” people and all I can say is thank god for personal growth, because 30 year old me can not find a single goddamn reason his behavior could be excused.

I’ve always believed it about R Kelly. There’s been fucking concrete proof from the beginning, rich men just get away with shit constantly. Imagine knowing there’s literal video evidence of someone committing sex crimes and still defending them.

According to Page Six, it was due to the documentary that Homeland Security decided the investigate the current case.

“It was an agent on our trafficking unit who was watching that Lifetime show, ‘Surviving R. Kelly,’” said the source at Homeland Security Investigations, the federal agency’s investigative arm.

“They were looking at the victims’ interviews” and realized that “this is so much bigger than [what] he has previously been charged with,” the source said, adding that the probe was launched in January."

My best friend is a HUGE mj fan, he's had MJ themed parties and wrote his college thesis on michael. It's insane bc he's on board with always believing the victim when they're women but in this mj scenario he genuinely thinks he's innocent. we've been friends for over 10 years and i know he's a good person but it's been hard to look past this tbh.
