Instagram is hiding likes and view count for public viewing

We want your friends to focus on the photos and videos you share, not how many likes they get. You can still see your own likes by tapping on the list of people who've liked it, but your friends will not be able to see how many likes your post has received.

So will “influencers” have to generate reports to give to companies paying them to post? Or will their follower count be enough?

if someone is selling social, they're reporting on metrics. there aren't many good brands that will sell just on follower count.

sadly, this is not true everywhere.. in my country, they only care about how much followers you have rather than the engagement.
