I was in the bathroom getting ready to go to the beach when my older brother knocked on the door to tell me “Finn died.” We watched Glee as a family together so we were all really shocked.

Death sucks.

I was in the bathroom... I just woke up and I always bring my phone in to check my e-mails real fast before I start working. I get random breaking news sent as a text, and that was the first thing that I saw.

I remember reading someone here say that many celebrity deaths happen a day or two before the rest of the world finds out. In particular, someone said something their friend knew/worked with joan rivers or something and was sad she passed away, and it wasn't until like two days later the news became public.

Obviously, friend with a bike situation but would make some sense.

I was in Vancouver and it was on the local news that police were investigating an actor's death in a hotel. ONTD was speculating it was him but it wasn't confirmed
