I saw Midsommar and loved it. It was such a visually stunning movie.

I really hope The Farewell will be playing in theaters here. I've been wanting to see it since the trailer was first posted.

I liked Fast Color! The story could've been a little stronger, but Gugu was great and I LOOOOVED the score. <3

Not a movie but I watched the first two eps of Euphoria and I had to stop. I literally feel so old watching it, not because "OMG the children are fucking and taking drugs" but because I remember when all these edgy "the children are fucking and taking drugs!" movies were aimed at people my age and we were all totally boring little shits who used to just like...hang out in parks pooling our money to go buy ice cream.

I guess people are just constantly worried about what "the kids" of the current generation are doing even the reality is that they're probably just being grimy and playing video games.

I think this is why I haven't started watching it. I definitely watched those sorts of shows and movies when I was a boring teen bc I wanted to see teens having sex and doing drugs and having lives more exciting than my own, but as an adult person, that has lost its appeal.

Seeing The Farewell tonight and it looks like it's selling out like crazy, so that's cool. Midsommar for the second time on Saturday (I feel like I was too tense the first time and waiting for Hereditary-style surprises and might've missed some smaller details and whatnot), and The Art of Self-Defense on Sunday. I've reached that part of the summer where I'm structuring my moviegoing times around maximal heat avoidance/AC enjoyment, so I'll see Crawl of the hottest evening of next week.
