A couple of years ago I watched some old Newlyweds episodes on YouTube and you could see the divorce coming a mile away. Nick was pretty lazy and he never seemed to get along with her parents, plus Jessica's whole bimbo schtick. It was obvious her BFF moving in with them was the final instigator for their relationship failing too.

I hadn't known much about either of them before the show, but watching it they seemed like the weirdest match. Clearly there was love there, but I could never work out why because he seemed to be constantly exasperated by her and in the other direction she seemed stifled. Couldn't see what the connection was because it sure as heck wasn't a shared outlook lol

Jessica was definitely raised with major pressure to become a wife. She wasn't ready at all and Nick wasnt a good match for her either.
I remember one of my 'super alternative' friends being so mad Jessica hooked up with Bam Margera. She was pissed and jealous bc Jessica 'was so mainstream'. Lol petty

I don't know how I remember this but they got back together after 9/11. He was supposed to be flying into NYC that day, she called to check up on him and realized she was still in love with him.
