"ping pong" does what good pop music is supposed to do; it makes me feel better and get out of my head for a few minutes.

"the emergency kisses" takes you on a trip. it's two or three songs in one and three or four different moods.

they're both very indicative of stereolab; they can do the basics right, but want to give you so much more than that.

ugh i love them so much! unfortunately i don't have the money to buy their albums or live somewhere to go to one of their concerts :(

they are one of the most underrated bands of the 90s and will always deserve more recognition that they have gotten.

my personal favorite will always be miss modular (especially this version off a peel session)

mountain is also really good

i love "miss modular" and "pack yr romantic mind". i really love the demo versions of their songs, which has me the most excited about the expanded edition releases.

i'd never heard "mountains" before, but--as expected--i love it.

Omg a Stereolab post! Loved them since the 90s and got to see them in concert twice in the early 00s. Was
so sad when Mary was killed. 😢

Just bought some of the vinyl reissues a few weeks ago, but will definitely get these as well! ❤️

i want to see them live so badly.

i'm happy they've continued the group even with mary passing. i can't imagine how difficult that must be; to have someone that was such an integral part of your life and career suddenly gone forever and constantly being reminded of them through your work.
