"The challenge isn’t raising awareness for any specific cause, it’s more of a way for celebrities to call each other out, have some harmless fun and show fans that they have some impressive martial arts skills."

Correct me if i'm wrong bu i think it's been a while since we have a viral challenge.

Also does it have to be in slow motion? I hate those type of videos they drive me crazy it's like get to the point already.

I hate slomo vids but the worst are when it’s mostly in real time and then there’s a really long drawn out slow mo. Some are okay, but I am like so picky about slomos because most of the time it’s not necessary or they slow motion too much and I don’t approve of the artistic direction

I appreciate the slomo on these because it lets you actually see what's happening, rather than just seeing the cap fly off. But I'm also a nerd who enjoys watching slomo vids in general. :3

It’s still wild to me how the ALS challenge took off and how people are still studying it after five years.

the amount of money they raised was amazing considering the fact that most of the people using the hashtag had no idea what it was for and didn't mention where to donate in their videos. its one of those "maybe the world is .00007% less shitty than i thought it was" moments lol
