Parasite is out here at the moment, I really want to see it and it'll probably be by myself. Also I'm grieving because The Last Black Man in San Francisco isn't coming to our film festival and here lie my hopes and dreams of watching it on the big screen.

The only films we got that I really want to see are The Farewell and Portrait of a Lady on Fire, maybe In Fabric as well. Such a lacklustre lineup this year 😞

For some reason, I thought both Ophelia and Euphoria came out, like, two years ago.

Haha, it is definitely that kind of week for indies. The poster for Euphoria looks straight out of 1995.

I've finally watched The Comeback. Lisa Kudrow and her unrelenting smile ugh
It was good but so bleak and mean at times, I would barely qualify it as a comedy. The ending was surprisingly not cynical and sweet. I loved how Valerie herself wasn't a total caricature, but a real flawed character.

I've also started a Big Little Lies rewatch to get into the new season. I'm already annoyed again at Chloe - the height of my technical abilities at 6 years of age was MAYBE rewinding VHS tapes but I'm supposed to believe this 6 year old not only has an extensive and deep kknowledge of music, curates her own playlists but also is sarcastic with an advanced vocabulary? Like "my mom is an active talker"? FoH
