DP was terrible and felt like I was watching X3 again minus any real plot (and that's saying something)

The one cool looking thing about X3 was what happens between Jean-DP/Prof X. DP (the film) tries to reinvent that scene but takes all the emotion out of it [Spoiler (click to open)](Jean has no deep connection to Raven the way original Jean did with Charles) and Raven dies in the most basic way too. You're telling me a movie 13yrs ago had better CGI and creative ideas than a movie in 2019. laughable.

Magneto felt like an after thought. Not to mention his storyline felt exactly like his story in DoFP with the way he wanted to kill Raven but instead now its Jean.

I wont even get into how the ending retcons DoFP. I guess we have to believe that the X2-esque ending (of seeing DP's force) means Jean could still be alive thus at some point returns to the school... bleh

This wasn't a bad movie. Not the best, but it's not remotely the X3 people made it out to be.

I actually really liked Dark Phoenix. The soundtrack was so great, I've been listening to it since I saw the movie.
Even my sister that hates 90% of superhero movies thought it was alright and didn't understand why it was so trashed, compared to others.
