It's cute enough but I'm tired of songs being under 3 minutes. I'm not saying everyone needs Zero 7 length ones BUT JFC 3+ minutes isn't asking too much IMO
I'm obsessssed with the Rocketman soundtrack (I've already seen the movie twice). That little strings flourish that happens in the chorus in Tiny Dancer (I'm sure there's a musical term for it) gives me chills every time.
saaaame! I've watched twice and I can't wait for it to be released in bluray so I can watch it more, it's been a while since I've loved a movie that much. The soundtrack is perfect!
They are talented but omg their styling is so atrocious.
I know it's a bit unfair to keep comparing girl groups but what made the Spice Girls so iconic is that they sexualized themselves in their own terms and each had a distinctive personality. Those recent girl groups all dress alike in such a male gaze-y way that, on top of that, is just plainly tacky.
Also, from a marketing point of view, I think it's funny the direction they're going, trying to sound "cooler" and older. I mean, they're a girl group for kids. When they embrace that -- with "Black Magic" or "Shout Out to my Ex" or whatever -- they sell millions in the UK. When they don't, they're ignored. It is what it is.
I feel like they must sell despite their styling and branding, rather than because of it, because it really is terrible. It drives me mad because they are SUCH amazing singers.
being fair to them, this kind of OTT makeup and outfits are somewhat normal in the UK lol. so I guess their looks aren't that distracting in the british market specifically?
Yeah good point, I was actually thinking to myself that perhaps this styling is more suited to their target audience, as they do seem mainly focused on the UK (which is fair enough). But the outfits are still hideous ha.
