I was a Joe stan at the time but honestly I do still feel a little bad for him because she seriously milked that for all it was worth. I remember the Jonas Brothers went on like Leno or something and Joe just gave a simple "we were dating but it didn't work out" answer to take the high road but by then she had total control of the narrative.

I mean we didn't/still don't really know how it really went down. It could be he called her and just said YA DUMPED and hung up or he called her and tried to talk but she hung up. And given what their careers looked like at the time it's not that weird to have done it over the phone. It just always irked me that she went very public with just a limited amount of info when it's something that personal and involves someone else.
