I'll always love and appreciate Fleshtone era.
That was truly a experience.
Got my whole gay ass life to that album.

omg! same!

i had been looking for the album since the day it was released and no record stores had it. i used to scour virgin megastores import section, tower records, indie shops--any place that sold music--weekly looking for it. three years later i was visiting friends in philly and i went to the tower records on south street and there were two imported copies available. i bought them both and played the album almost exclusively for like two months.

tasty was the first album i ever owned and it's literal perfection. i love kelis so much, she's truly never gotten the respect that she deserves despite being an obvious icon.

yes!! Give Kelis her roses, NOW! My coworkers dislike her, idk why cause she's such a chameleon.

she really did. and she remains a constant inspiration with all of the forms of her artistry: her music, her style, her food. she's the first artist i remember stanning to any extent and i will always have si much appreciation and respect for her.

She sure af did pave the way for so many artists, but she never gets the credit that she so rightfully deserves 😔
