He's right though.

There is definitely a market for movies about 50+ people falling in love but it's a niche market. The young'uns don't have that nostalgia factor of remembering when he was young and hot so they wouldn't want to watch it.

Same reason Cary Grant quit making movies. I enjoy watching Hugh in interviews almost as much as I do his acting

Cary got older for sure, but he remained handsome and elegant imo. Those glasses added some charm to him in his older years.
